Getting Started with a Simple Meditation

đżÂ Find your spot
-Choose a comfortable seat (office, bed, couch)
    -Aim for fewer distractions
-Donât stress if life interrupts, just return to your practice

đ«Â How long to meditate
-Start with 5 minutes once a day
-Build up to 20â30 minutes if it feels right
-Use a gentle timer so you are free to focus on your mantra

đȘ·Â When to meditate
-Tie it to a daily habit (after waking, brushing teeth, etc.)
-Twice a day is great, if possible

đïžÂ  Your âSo Humâ practice
-Sit comfortably, set your timer, close your eyes
    -Inhale & silently say âSoâ
    -Exhale & silently say âHumâ
    -Repeat continuously
-When your mind wanders, return to the mantra
    -Release your mantra when complete
-Sit with eyes closed for 2 minutes, then return to activity
⚠Bonus insight: So Hum means âI am that,â a reminder of your connection within and to the greater world around you

đ When it gets messy
-Racing mind? Bring your mantra back
    -Restless body? Adjust and continue
    -Distracted? Notice it, then return
-Not peaceful today? Thatâs okay, every day is different

đž Why it works
-Meditation resets the mind and body
-In time: less stress, more clarity, & peace within last beyond
      your session
